MDAH is proud to offer emerging scholars the opportunity to work in the most extensive collection of Mississippi-related materials, including the Eudora Welty Collection and the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Papers. Eudora Welty Fellowship

MDAH is now accepting applications for the 2022 Eudora Welty Research Fellowship. Offered in partnership with the Eudora Welty Foundation, this annual fellowship awards a $5,000 stipend to one graduate student to conduct research using the Eudora Welty Collection at MDAH for two weeks during the summer. The deadline is March 4, 2022.

Medgar and Myrlie Evers

MDAH is now accepting applications for the 2022 Medgar and Myrlie Evers Research Fellowship. Offered in partnership with the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Institute, this annual fellowship awards a $5,000 stipend to one graduate student or early-career faculty member to conduct research using the Mississippi archives at MDAH for a minimum of two weeks during the summer. The deadline is March 4, 2022.
