Full-Time Roles

This position is assigned to the Local Government Records Office, providing records and information management guidance to county and municipality staff through education, planning, and policy recommendations.

This position supports the preservation planning section, which oversees the Section 106 review process and the Certified Local Government (CLG) Program. 

This role involves managing the care, preservation, and interpretation of a historic garden through hands-on horticulture, volunteer supervision, program development, research, stakeholder reporting, and sustainable gardening practices.

The cataloger will be responsible for the initial processing of acquisitions and conducting copy cataloging according to current standards for various items, including monographs, maps, broadsides, sheet music, subject files, and serials. 

This role is responsible for directing and reporting on cultural resource surveys conducted by the archaeology section of the Historic Preservation Division in accordance with its responsibilities under the MS Antiquities Law.

Part-Time Roles

The cataloger will work directly with the collections staff in the Two Mississippi Museums collections storage facility to catalog books from the Eudora Welty House. 

This public-facing position oversees daily store and visitor center operations, including inventory management, visitor engagement, point-of-sale tasks, record-keeping, reservations, and assisting with tours at the Eudora Welty House & Garden.
