Interested in learning how to identify artifacts? Come to Archaeology Awareness Day at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, at the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. This program will feature an artifact identification station from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. MDAH chief archaeologist Cindy Carter-Davis and professor Daniel Ladu of University of Southern Mississippi, will do presentations on the best site practices for preservation and recent local archaeological investigations.
