Books, Bourbon and Eudora

Join us on November 13, at 6 p.m. at the Eudora Welty House and Garden for a book talk and film screening on the Welty Lawn featuring Anthony Thaxton’s EUDORA documentary film and companion book in partnership with the Mississippi Film Society. Free Sundays at the Two Mississippi Museums
October 26, 2025, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Admission to the Two Mississippi Museums is free every Sunday. This includes admission to the Hurricane Katrina: Mississippi Remembers, Photographs by Melody Golding on display through November 7. HORNE, a Ridgeland-based professional services firm, is the title sponsor of the exhibit.

Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt

Join a monthlong scavenger hunt in the Eudora Welty House & Garden. Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to go on a Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt throughout the month of October. Visitors can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet from the Little Free Library.

Collection Tour

Join us Tuesday, October 28, 11 a.m. at the Two Mississippi Museums to embark on a behind-the-scenes tour of the MDAH Historic Objects Collection led by Nan Prince, MDAH director of collections, and Hong Li, MDAH collections manager. Attendees will meet in the lobby of the Two Mississippi Museums.
