Join us for a gallery talk on the Geologic Story of Tatum Dome and Mississippi's Nuclear Test at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, at the Two Mississippi Museums. The Mississippi Geological Survey played a key role in the nuclear testing of Tatum Salt Dome in Lamar County, Mississippi. Professional geologist Jonathan Leard of the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality will provide insights into this testing, known as Project Dribble, an overview of Mississippi’s geology, and the state’s connection to the "new" Atomic Age.
