Hezekiah Watkins’ Birthday Celebration
Celebrate Hezekiah Watkins' birthday at the Two Mississippi Museums on Sunday, September 1. On this free admission day, Watkins will share his experience during the Mississippi Civil Rights Movement at noon, 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. in the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. Copies of Watkins' Pushing Forward: The Story of Mississippi's Youngest Freedom Rider and t-shirts will be available for purchase, with a book signing available.
