At noon Wednesday, June 25, Andrew Karl, author and historian, will examine the history of Black Americans taxpayers and the fight for a more equitable system for raising and spending the public’s money as part of the History Is Lunch series. The program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums and will also stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel. Copies of The Black Tax: 150 Years of Theft, Exploitation, and Dispossession in America will be available for sale with a signing to follow.
