History Is Lunch: Candacy Taylor, “Black Travel and the Green Book”

At noon on Wednesday, August 3, Candacy Taylor will present “Black Travel and the Green Book” as part of the History Is Lunch series. Taylor is the author of Overground Railroad: The Green Book and the Roots of Black Travel in America. She is the curator and content specialist for The Negro Motorist Green Book, a traveling exhibition currently on display at the Two Mississippi Museums. Copies of the book will be for sale.

The program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Museum of Mississippi History and Mississippi Civil Rights Museum building and stream live on the Mississippi Department of Archives and History’s Facebook page—https://www.facebook.com/MDAHOfficial—and YouTube channel—https://www.youtube.com/MDAHVideo.
