History Is Lunch: Sharbreon Plummer, "Black Quilters in the American South"

At noon on Wednesday, November 13, Sharbreon Plummer will present “Black Quilters in the American South” as part of the History Is Lunch series. The program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums and stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel. This program is financially assisted by the National Endowment for the Humanities through the Mississippi Humanities Council. After Plummer's talk, attendees will have an opportunity to visit the museums' behind-the-scenes collection storage area to see two quilts by Hystercine Rankin, an award-winning African American quilter from Mississippi.
