Join us for a screening of Hollow Tree at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums. This documentary follows the story of three teenagers coming of age in their homeplace of Louisiana. Their different perspectives—as Indigenous, White, and Angolan young women—shape their story of the climate crisis when they first witnessed the Mississippi River’s increased engineering, stumps of cypress trees, and polluting refineries.
Part of the Southern Circuit, this program is presented in partnership with the Mississippi Humanities Council and the Mississippi Film Office. For more information, call 601-576-6850 or email info@mdah.ms.gov.
