On Saturday, March 6, at 11 a.m., civil rights veterans Frank Figgers and Hezekiah Watkins will share their personal experiences of the Mississippi Freedom Movement through selected images from the special exhibit, I AM A MAN: Civil Rights Photographs in the American South, 1960–1970. Frank Figgers is the vice chairman of the Veterans of the Mississippi Civil Rights Movement Board of Directors and is a member of the Jackson Public Schools Board and the Young People Project (YYP) of Jackson. He currently serves as a strategy consultant for One Voice, Inc., a non-profit leadership development organization in Jackson. Hezekiah Watkins is a former Freedom Rider and currently serves as a docent at the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum.
