Join the Eudora Welty House & Garden (EWHG) for Welty Wednesdays beginning Wednesday, January 8. In honor of 1119 Pinehurst Street's 100-year anniversary, free admission will be offered every Wednesday, in addition to the long-standing tradition of free admission on the 13th of each month honoring Welty’s April 13 birthday.

At noon on Wednesday, January 21, art historian Dr. Brittany Myburgh will highlight the permanent collection at Jackson State University’s Art Department as part of the History Is Lunch series. The collection traces the history of the department and reflects the university’s role in fostering cultural engagement.
The Eudora Welty House & Garden will host a two-hour guided painting class with wine and light refreshments on Thursday, January 22, at 5:30 p.m. All painting supplies will be provided by MDAH for a materials fee of $25. Payment can be made by calling the Welty House or at the front desk on the day of the program.
