Possum Ridge Model Train Exhibit Opens

On Tuesday, December 2, the Possum Ridge model train exhibit will open at the Two Mississippi Museums. There is no charge to view the exhibit, which is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from 11 to 5 p.m. The Possum Ridge exhibit will be closed on December 25 and December 31. Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt
October 31, 2025, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join a monthlong scavenger hunt in the Eudora Welty House & Garden. Kids and kids-at-heart are invited to go on a Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt throughout the month of October. Visitors can pick up a scavenger hunt sheet from the Little Free Library.

Dracula Screening on the Welty Lawn
October 31, 2025, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The Eudora Welty House & Garden, in partnership with the Mississippi Film Society, is hosting a film screening on the Welty Lawn. Come see the 1931 version of Dracula, to represent the caricature that Eudora Welty drew in 1933, on October 31, at 6:30 p.m. as the final event for the month-long Ghosts in the Garden Scavenger Hunt.

Free Sundays at the Two Mississippi Museums
November 2, 2025, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Admission to the Two Mississippi Museums is free every Sunday. This includes admission to the Hurricane Katrina: Mississippi Remembers, Photographs by Melody Golding on display through November 7. HORNE, a Ridgeland-based professional services firm, is the title sponsor of the exhibit.
