Register now for a free two-day conference designed for small museums across the state. Staff, volunteers, and people passionate about sharing their local history are invited join staff from the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, the Mississippi Humanities Council, and the Mississippi Museum Association.

When will registration open, and what is the deadline ?

Registration will open on July 15, 2024, and close on September 10, 2024.

Who should attend this conference?

Sessions are designed for staff and volunteers from small museums and historical societies.  

What food is provided during this conference?

On Monday, September 16, we will provide lunch and light food and beverages at our happy hour reception that evening. We encourage participants to explore local Jackson eateries with their peers for dinner. Breakfast and lunch will be served on Tuesday.   

 

Will there be an opportunity for vendors?

Vendor tables are $25, with limited space available. If you are interested in reserving a table, check the box on the registration form.

Is there hotel assistance?

Lodging is not provided this year, but we have arranged for a discounted block of rooms at the Homewood Suites in Fondren.
