MLK Night of Culture

Join us at the Two Mississippi Museums to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 19. With FedEx sponsoring free admission, we encourage visitors to donate canned goods to support the food drive partnered with Stewpot Community Services. As part of the MLK Night of Culture, Amanda Furge will host artistic performances by invited guests at 6 p.m., followed by a theatrical performance by Meridian High School. The play, “A Carefully Calculated Murder,” is based on the true story of the June 1964 murders of three civil rights workers: James Chaney, Michael Schwerner, and Andrew Goodman. This program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium. For more information on the extended MLK Weekend Celebration, click here.
